Examples of white ties
Although quite rare for business attire, white silk ties are often chosen for formal occasions. The white tie in many parts of Europe is the equivalent of the black tie in the US. In the US white ties are most commonly worn for formal occasions during the day and/or in warm weather.
Solid color white ties: White tie made from smooth satin silk fabric giving a high shine (left), white tie with fine ribbed pattern (right) -slightly less shine and a little less formal than white ties made from smooth silk.
Solid white ties with stripes: White necktie with narrow stripes (left), white tie with wide diagonal striping pattern (right). The stripes in the tie are created by weaving the silk yarn into different directions.
Besides the pure white ties, ties in cream and champagne color are quite popular -especially for wedding ties.
Off-white neckties: The platinum color tie (left) is made with a fabric of silver and white, the cream color tie (right) mixes white silk yarn with gold. Both neckties are very formal ties that are especially popular wedding silk ties.
